"Is it true what they say about Monty?"

I'm humbled to be ANDI's latest subject: the light, the textures, the vibrant colors! She's undoubtedly one of the great artistic talents of our generation. Follow her!
From ANDI:
It is my huge honour to have painted Misha (oil on cradled panel 61x61cm) looking like an old Hollywood heartthrob being papped (think Montgomery Clift) as part of my series on being trans and queer. ❤️
This painting of him wearing both a yarmulke and a keffiyeh has been an image in my head that I've felt compelled to paint for some time, so to be trusted by him means the world.
Misha has been a valuable voice to me for what has been going on in the world, especially over the last year. He speaks with immense, uncompromising passion. Go and follow him.

The piece takes its title from a tabloid headline speculating on the sexuality of Montgomery Clift—and yes, it was true: the "phenomenal Monty Clift" was gay.
